Dog Park, Niceville, FL: - Off Leash

The Niceville Dog Park was constructed in 2002 and is just 15 North of Destin, Florida. This fenced in area is 4 acres with plenty of shade trees and running space. It is located off Hwy 85 just north of the soccer/football fields. Dog owners can let their Dogs stretch their legs and run leash-free on the site with no worries about cars, etc. All breeds, big and small, come here to play together. There is no separate area for small dogs though. The park provides a water station with a continuous fresh supply for the dogs. People have donated disposal bags, chairs, frisbees, balls, and other toys for the dogs to play with. There really are not any written rules for the dog park. The only request is that EVERYONE is expected to clean up their pets waste. As you walk in the gate, a big sign says, "If your dog poops, please scoop". Hours are from Dawn until 10pm. Bright lights automatically turn on at dusk for those who are unable to get out until later in the evening. Please use the park at your own risk. Parents should use caution with small children.
